||US Naval Academy
||A former basketball player from Wisconsin, I was first introduced to rowing while at the Naval Academy, where I was a 3-year varsity letter winner as member of Navy’s Heavyweight 1V. In 1991, I was honored to represent the United States at the Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba, where we took silver in the Men’s Heavyweight Eight event. After several years and deployments as a Naval aviator, I returned to rowing at PBC in 2005, becoming a founding member of the club’s current Men’s Team. Over the last decade, in addition to making successful appearances at the Henley Royal Regatta and the Head of the Charles Regatta, I’ve enjoyed my role leading the team to multiple, often consecutive national and international championship titles for the club.
||I have served as captain of the Men’s Sweep Team as well as several years as member of the Racing Committee. I was elected to the Board of Governors in 2013, Treasurer in 2014, and President in 2015.
|What I like most about the club
||There is a long tradition of excellence in rowing at Potomac Boat Club, spanning almost 150 years. As a member, I feel honored to be even a small part of the club’s history. It inspires me every day to be working with so many members willing to sacrifice their time to ensure the success of PBC.
