Hello Friends!

Thank you for signing up for the Potomac River Cleanup at Theodore Roosevelt Island (TRI) for this upcoming Saturday, April 20th, from 12 P.M. to 3 P.M. We extend our gratitude to our sponsors: Pepco, Patagonia, Giant, Venable LLP, our partners at the National Park Service, our co-host: Potomac Boat Club, and to every volunteer from the rowing community led by Potomac Boat Club, the Arlington Boathouse Foundation, and Georgetown University crew.

Event Details:

- Date and Time: Saturday, April 20th, 12 PM to 3 PM

- Location: Theodore Roosevelt Island (TRI), we will gather at the parking lot near the bridge from Virginia to the island.

 - Public Transportation: The meeting spot is a few blocks' walk from the Rosslyn Metro Station (Blue, Orange, and Silver lines). Walk towards Key Bridge, downstream side, and after the overpass crossing over George Washington Parkway, you will see the bike path leading down to the TRI meeting spot. Note that if you do choose to drive a car, the parking spots at TRI can fill up quickly on a warm weekend afternoon when visitors enjoy this national park.

Weather Forecast:

Saturday's Forecast for Theodore Roosevelt Island, Washington: Partly cloudy, 70°F, Precipitation: 20%, Humidity: 42%, Wind: 11 mph.

Please dress accordingly for partly cloudy conditions, and remember to bring your water bottle for hydration!

Schedule:

Please arrive at Theodore Roosevelt Island, located at Theodore Roosevelt Island park Arlington, DC 22209, between 11:45 and 12 PM to check in.

Hello Potomac Members

PBC is again co-sponsoring a clean up with Arlington Boathouse Foundation and Georgetown University Crew, working with the Potomac Conservancy, at Theodore Roosevelt Island on 2 separate days, April 20 & 21, 2024:

Saturday, April 20, 12 to 3 pm

Sunday, April 21, 1 to 4 pm

Volunteers play an essential role in Potomac Conservancy’s work. As for the MLK day cleanup, the slots for this clean up have been blocked for the rowing community. This time around there will also be a number of high school crews in attendance.
