Dear PBC members,

I am happy to introduce myself to you as the new head coach of W-L Crew. I am eager to become part of the tradition of W-L and PBC rowing, and to strengthen our relationship for the good of both programs.

In that vein, I would like to take advantage of your wisdom and experience for the benefit of the high school rowers. We all know what it was like to be a high school student, certain that you know everything about the world, while also scared of what the future holds. I would like to invite you to share your wisdom and knowledge as guest speakers and coaches at our practices.

Ideally, you would give 20-30min talk at the start of practice followed by a workout that you lead/coach/help with. Topics for the talk could be training tips, mental toughness, technique, race prep, life lessons, history, etc. Anything that might help the kids to improve their perspective and/or performance and also to feel connected to the tradition of PBC and rowing in general.

If you are interested in helping out, please complete this form and I will be in touch. And don't be too humble, these are high school kids. They have lots to learn and you have lots to share.

Thanks,

Kara
