Upstream end of the dock - launch ropes and drilli...
Author Last Post

Hi, PBC -

Per an earlier message, a DC Water barge is

moving into place above our dock today for about a week of core drilling work.

We have moved launches usually tied up on the shore side of the dock to a raft formation on the river side in case there is not enough room to maneuver them between the dock and the barge. We hope we’ll be able to move them back tomorrow, but if not, the configuration will stay this way until the drilling work is completed and the barge moves out.

***Please be aware that there is now a rope that runs on a long diagonal from the stern of the outermost launch to a cleat on the dock. This line crosses over the the most upstream boat launching/landing area on the dock. Please look out for it and do not set boats on top of the line or otherwise get them entangled with it when launching or landing!***

Many thanks to Seth Dalenberg, Carol Dinion, Peter Schmidt, and the HPP athletes for their help in getting everything rearranged and tied up this morning!
