Clean up at Theodore Roosevelt Island on April 20,...
Author Last Post

Morning all,

Just bring this up to the top of your respective inboxes one last time before the clean up this Sunday. Thanks and hope to see some of you there.

Hi PBC,

After canceling the first TRI clean up of the year due to snow, Jim Freis and team are going to try again on Sunday, April 20th starting at 9am (low tide). The starting point will be the usual point, at the Virginia side bridge leading up to Roosevelt Island.

The team understands that this clean up falls on Easter Sunday but we're hoping there are individuals staying in town that would love to give back to our river. Please wear boots or shoes that can get muddy, and attack the trash along the shore we row past every day.

Anyone who wishes to help organize, can reach out to Jim Freis (james.freis@hotmail.com), and don't forget to please arrive 15 mins before the 9am start. We fully anticipate finishing before noon.

Volunteers play an essential role in Potomac Conservancy’s work. As in the past, the slots for this clean up have been blocked for the rowing community. Space is basically unlimited, come one come all. Unlike previous years, there is no need to sign up in advance, please just show up. We will fill out large group attendee forms beforehand for PBC attendees and their guests but you will be required to complete a waiver upon arrival onsite which can be completed digitally. Underage attendees will have one further form to complete. I’m happy to pass anyone bringing minors forms in advance so, please reach out if that is the case and you want to get a jump before attending.
