Dear PBC friends,

I’m happy to inform you that I plan to run for PBC’s open board seat at our semi-annual meeting next Sunday, October 7!
For those who do not know me, I began my rowing career with the Baltimore Rowing Club while in high school and raced with Boston College for four years, graduating in 2016. I tried to kick the rowing habit but am just too in love with this sport, and was lucky to be accepted as a senior member at PBC last summer.
PBC has been a home for me for the past year and a half. I have been so impressed by the welcoming nature of the club and by the athletes I am honored to row with and joke around with daily. Rowing with Potomac made my transition from college to the real world so much more enjoyable by helping me find a strong community of rowers, and I am so thankful to be part of the club.
I’m running for this board seat because I want to give back to the club and make decisions that will help PBC run smoothly and be a profitable and positive place for years to come. As a co-captain of the newly formed women’s sweep team, I hope to use this board seat to promote gender equality and to encourage recent grads to row with us, while ensuring that the club remains an inviting space for families and people of all ages.
Thank you for your friendship and I hope you will attend the semi-annual meeting on Sunday, October 7 and vote for me! Please feel free to forward my message along to others who may be interested.
